Stretch was adopted at 7 weeks of age as
a Christmas present to three children. The
8 year old boy had double wrapped an elastic
band around a small paw, which cut off the
blood supply. Two days after Christmas, the
parents noticed the smell and swelling of
the rear paw.It had began to rot and became
swollen to three times normal size. Stretch
was brought to the RISPCA, and relinquished
by the owners. His left rear leg had to be
amputated and he
has had to learn to walk on three legs.
He was adopted by a lady from Cape Cod, who
drove all the way just to see him when she
heard his story.
